Avangard launches a new Storyboard project
On April 12, the "Storyboard" project opened at the Avangard military-patriotic youth training center. The idea of the project is to introduce cadets to films that demonstrate the strength of the spirit, the will to win, courage, motivation, and achievements of humanity.
At the first screening of "Storyboards", the children watched a picture of the Soviet theater and film actress, a member of the Union of Cinematographers, a member of the Guild of Film Actors of Russia, and now an aspiring director Lyudmila Potapova "Nuts".
The plot is based on the childhood memories of the director's mother about seeing off her father to the front in 1942. All that her mother remembered was the wooden platform at the Mineralnye Vody railway station, the farewell to her father and the "nuts" scattered on the platform – traditional homemade cakes for local residents. This was the last meeting between Lyudmila's mother and her father, and a few hours later everyone on the train was killed by enemy bombing.
After watching the film, director Lyudmila Potapova and actors Dmitry Savkin and Tatyana Khramova discussed the idea and leitmotif of the short film with the cadets and answered their questions.
"Oreshki" covers serious topics of patriotism, heroism, and respect for elders. The film has a lot of soul, love and desire to show a story that no one can be indifferent to and will be understandable for people of different generations," said the creator of the picture.
According to Daria Borisova, Director of the Avangard Center, the Storyboard project was launched to make the learning process at Avangard even more exciting and interesting.
"We all expect some kind of superheroes from the cinema, something unprecedented, but if you look back, you can see that heroes live among us. Every family has a story about overcoming oneself, victories, memory, heroism, and salvation. It is absolutely necessary to tell our children about this. The Storyboard project is designed so that children can not only watch the film, but also discuss it together with the director and the characters, " Daria Borisova emphasized.
