March 9 Russian Defense Minister General of the ArmySergey Shoigu, Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin and the Governor of the Moscow Region Andrey Vorobyov visited the training and methodological center for military-patriotic education of young people "Avangard". The guests of honor appreciated the conditions of cadets ' stay and military training.
The delegation visited clusters for training, accommodation, physical training of cadets and a canteen.
During the five-day military training camp, up to 600 students simultaneously learn the basics of basic military training: skydiving, shooting weapons in multimedia and pneumatic shooting ranges, controlling military equipment, designing and programming robots, providing medical assistance, simulating combat conditions using VR technologies, and so on. Students also play sports: football, volleyball, boxing, and martial arts.
"The center is made using the most modern technologies, taking into account all the requirements for initial military training. We would like to see such unique institutions appear in all regions where there is at least one school. This year's plans include the construction of centers in 37 regions of the country, " Sergei Shoigu commented.
Also during the tour, Avangard Director Daria Borisova introduced the guests to the center's own developments. One of them is the artificial intelligence of Avangard-IRA. This is an android with built-in intelligence that helps instructors and counselors monitor the movement of cadets, track their progress, and establish contacts with each other.
In addition, the guests appreciated the distance learning program, which aims to optimize theory and give more time for cadets to practice. During the year, about 30 thousand people from Moscow and the Moscow region will be trained at the center.
"This project is implemented for students who want to be successful and strong, who are interested in various cultural and historical achievements of our country. A large number of children can find themselves here, learn new things, and get to know each other. Both in summer and winter, the center will operate at full capacity, so about 20 thousand children from the Moscow region will be able to visit it, " said the Governor of the Moscow region Andrey Vorobyov.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin: "Avangard is an informal project that will continue to develop. Its main task is to give the guys the opportunity to feel the military and comradely spirit. The guys should have a desire to come back here."
The Avangard Training Center was established by the Government of Moscow and the Moscow Region with the support of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. The idea was supported by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Director of the Avangard CenterDaria Borisova: Avangard is an advanced center for young people, where tenth-graders are taught the basics of basic military training in a playful way. Here, even the most complex topics, such as patriotic education, military training, and OBZH are perceived by children easily and quickly. In the future, we plan to organize not only" men's "races, but also"women's" ones.
After discussion, representatives of the Ministry of Defense, Moscow and the Moscow Region decided to develop Avangard as soon as possible: build new residential buildings, organize shifts for girls and increase the number of cadets studying at the center.
