"Believe in yourself": "Olympic lesson" by Ivan Skobrev for cadets of the "Avangard" center
Multiple Russian record holder, European and world champion, winner of silver and bronze medals at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games in speed skating Ivan Skobrev became a guest of the Avangard training center for military-patriotic youth education. The meeting was traditionally held within the framework of the project "The Reverse side of the star", the purpose of which is to introduce famous personalities to cadets.
The famous skater gave the cadets advice about playing sports, setting goals and constantly working on themselves. One of the recipes for a successful start by Ivan Skorbev:
"Don't think about the upcoming competition, get rid of unnecessary excitement. Remember your feelings from that, the best of your workout. Convince yourself that you have exactly the same task ahead of you, and work it out just as well as the best one — " the famous speed skater told schoolchildren in the Moscow region."
Ivan Skobrev also noted that it is important to play sports, even if you do not dream of Olympic achievements.
- Sports are the road to life. With the help of it, you can not only become fit and beautiful, but also get to know the world better. And, of course, it learns well, because when you are in good shape, it disciplines and helps you live a brighter life, " the guest assured the cadets.
At the end of the evening, the cadets asked Ivan to take part in a dance flash mob, and he wished the children to remain as cheerful and purposeful.
