More than 1,000 people attended the Avangard Open Day
On March 13, the Open Doors Day was held at the Avangard military-patriotic Youth training center. The event was attended by more than 1,000 people from Moscow and the Moscow region-schoolchildren, first-and second-year students of secondary vocational education institutions, families with children.
Director of Avangard Daria Borisova opened the event and delivered a welcoming speech: "It is very pleasant that many of those present learned about our center and were able to come to the Open Day today. We want to show the capabilities of Avangard and tell you that the initial military training for today's youth takes place in an ultra-modern format."
On this day, new people saw skydiving simulators, car driving simulators, multimedia, pneumatic and practical shooting ranges, and much more.
A tent with master classes on first aid, robotics modeling, working with various types of weapons and radiation, chemical and biological protection equipment aroused the interest of visitors at the central site.
A large number of participants competed in laser tag, where they worked out tactical combat techniques in a playful way.
The main stage hosted a concert dedicated to the spring festival – Maslenitsa. Creative performances were performed by the orchestra of cadets of the Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, young soldiers and teachers of the center.
In addition to the entertainment program, food outlets with pancakes, pastries and a field kitchen were opened for guests. A tent with folk crafts and a screening of war films in the Atrium Concert Hall were added to the celebration. The culmination of the open day was the burning of the traditional Maslenitsa effigy.
