The first "women's" shift started at Avangard

On May 9, 569 girls from the 10th grades of secondary schools in the Moscow Region visited the Avangard military-patriotic youth training center.

During the five-day training camp, high school students will get acquainted with the basics of basic military training: they will jump with a parachute, shoot weapons in multimedia and pneumatic shooting ranges, control military equipment, design and program robots, provide medical assistance, simulate combat conditions using VR technologies, and so on.

The decision to open military training camps for girls was made on March 9, 2021, during a visit to the military-patriotic center by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and Moscow Region Governor Andrey Vorobyov .

Also in the Avangard center, from May 1 to 9, 132 girls-unarmy soldiers from Moscow gathered, who on Victory Day marched in a parade on Red Square, led by Daria Borisova, First Deputy chief of the General Staff of the Unarmia movement, director of the Avangard training and methodological center for military-patriotic youth education.

During the training, the children met with champions, became participants of the environmental campaign "Raising a generation", watched films about the Great Patriotic War and competitions for the KVN Cup.

On March 9, a strategically correct decision was made to develop Avangard: to build new residential buildings and increase the number of cadets studying at the center. This was confirmed after the arrival of shifts of girls from Moscow and the Moscow region, as well as after receiving the results of a social survey and on the basis of applications received from the official social networks of the center. It turned out that more than ten thousand schoolgirls show interest in passing military training on the basis of the Avangard center.
